Movie Drive in

Monday night, we decided to head to the drive in to watch Ice Age 4 and Brave. For both movies, we only paid $19.50 for all 3 of us! We thought that was a heck of a deal!

Before heading there, we decided to go play some arcade games at Fat Cats! It was a blast! We showed Mom our favorite game: Deal or No Deal.
We have decided that Mom is our official lucky charm because the first 2 times we played it we got 500 tickets! It was sweet!

Fat Cats does this cool thing where when you buy tokens you can win free stuff like a free bowling game or stuff animal. I have gotten a stuff animal every time we have gone. I guess it will be my collection for when we start having children.

After a quick stop to Walmart for some treats, we entered the Drive in. It was so cool! I had never been to one before. We did some rearranging of the seats so we could all sit comfortably for the show.

We all really enjoyed Ice Age 4. Normally, I don't really like the sequels of movies, especially the 4th one! But, this one turned out to be pretty good. It had funny little jokes all throughout that made it fun to watch! We were even able to find some free posters of it at Fat Cats.

We were all really excited to see Brave. We had heard so much about it. It was a thrill to watch it on the big screen! Unfortunately, we did not think the movie was as good as everyone made it seem. I thought it was quite predictable. It reminded me of the story plot of The Little Mermaid. Some princess wishes for a new life, gets it from a witch, hates it, and so spends the rest of the movie trying to fix it. We also wonder if it could have been because we were all really tired. The movie started at like 11:30 pm and we had been staying up really late since mom had gotten in.

So, I am willing to give it a second chance when it comes out to redbox. Maybe we were just too tired to enjoy it.

All in All it was a fun time! I wish there were more drive-ins!

The Wonders of Yellowstone

While Brittany’s mom was here we were determined to make a trip to Yellowstone since we had lived here for so many years and had not gone. Her mom also really wanted to see it since she wasn’t sure when she would come back this way again.

So we started the journey Saturday morning. It was a nice drive of about 1.5 hours. Thankfully our favorite radio station made it until just before the park entrance. There was also a very nice line to get into the park. People kept trying to change lanes which made the wait even longer. When we finally got through, We decided that we would try and make it to see Old Faithful first and then stop off on the way back to see some of the other sights on that side of the park.

So on the way down we got into a “Bison Traffic Jam”. There were a group of bison at one of the little pullout areas that they have and everyone wanted to park their car there so they could take some pictures. That means driving 20 MPH for a good 20-30 minutes so that people could find a parking spot.

After that little delay it was clear sailing down to Old Faithful. We also had great arrival timing. We got there only about 15 minutes before an eruption. It was nice because we did not have to wait the 91 minutes it would be if we had just missed one. Here are a couple pictures of the geyser and the crowd around it:

Of course we had to make our way to the gift shop to get some souvenirs just to prove that we had been there. After pushing our way through the store and accidentally cutting in the checkout line we were on our way again.

Our next stop was the Upper Geyser Basin which has a bunch of steamy pools of water with lots of cool colors. There were blues, oranges, yellows, reds, and Japanese tourists. It was quite windy as well. You could see several hats of unfortunate visitors lying in the pools of water.

The ground under the water looked cool

The camera does not capture how blue the water rally looks.

After that we went to see the paint pots. They are basically clay bowls that have turned to mud and are boiling. There were also some other small geysers there as well sporadically spraying water.

Several hours later, we headed on home. We had one more small Bison delay, but it was nowhere near as long as the first time. We also got a picture of the bison as we drove by it.

The trip was well worth the long drive and hot weather. We ended the day with a stop at Frontier Pies for a great dinner and amazing pieces of pie.

Graduation From BYU-Idaho

Well today I graduated from College! Woot!
I cannot believe the time has finally come. It seems like just yesterday,  I was living in the dorms for my first semester, lost and confused in a new place.
Now, here I am, 6 years later.

Ha, Ironically I still have short hair!
Anyways,  I have learned so many things over these past 6 years. It is crazy to think that I
came here a girl and hopefully leaving a stronger woman.

I would not have been able to do this without the great help of my parents. They always encouraged me to keep going when things got tough. They financially supported me through my entire experience as a music major; always making sure I had money to buy a new instrument, reeds, music, food. They helped me pay for everything so I could focus on my studies without having to work. I will be forever grateful for everything they have done for me my entire life!

I also had the help of some amazing friends! I probably won't be able to get a picture of all of them on here because there were so many. Some have stayed with me the whole way, while others came into my life  for a short time, right when I needed them, and I will always remember them. They have showed me love, compassion, and patience. I'm so thankful for all of them!

I was also able to find the love of my life while here at school. Spencer Clark is my best friend and the greatest husband ever! I am so lucky to have found him here!

Although I did not go to commencement, I did go to the Performing Arts convocation where I received my empty diploma cover. The real diploma is in the mail! I got to see some neat projects from other students and also hear President Clark of the college and Elder Clark of the 70 Speak. It was awesome!

I finally made it!

1st Night with Mom

So, Mom got in about 7 pm from Ohio. It was great to see her! We had a great time talking and catching up.
We first went to Arby's. I haven't been there forever! It was delicious!!!!
Then it was to Walmart for a few things.

The highlight of the night was playing Dominoes!
I had never played them before so it was quite an adventure!
Anytime we needed to mix up the dominoes, we would each take a pile and shove it into each other! It was blast!

Here is a picture of one of our trains! We played Double 9's down to blanks. It took us about 2 hours to finish the game! It was a blast!

Here are the final scores! Spencer had a lot because several times he didn't have the right number to start his train. So, I started cheating and telling him which tile to draw. Haha, it was awesome!

-Mom's Visit-

Today My Mom is coming to visit and to see me graduate from BYU-Idaho.
It is going to be my favorite week of the year!

We are hoping to go to Yellowstone park for the the first time on Saturday! She is going to come to church with us on Sunday. We will go to the Temple, Sam's Club, and who know what other mischief we can dream up! It's going to be great! My mom has been a great example to me. I've always wanted to grow up to be just like her! I have some big shoes to fill!

Sadly, Dad was not able to accompany her this time because of work. I am grateful for all he did to help me reach this day of Graduation! He has always made sure I had everything I needed. I wish he could be here!

Mom is on her way so let the fun begin!

Rexburg Animal Shelter Fun

Saturday July 14, 2012

So, I have been wanting to have a dog for quite sometime. Since our complex does not allow pets
I figured I need to get creative to get in my "dog" fix.
We decided to go visit the Rexburg Animal Shelter to play with some of the dogs!
It was a blast!

We first decided to play with the big dogs outside. We tried to play fetch with them
but none of them since interested.
So we just petted them until their hearts' delight!

This cutie was a snuggle machine. She kept coming up to us and laying herself right on top of us!

We discovered that if we started petting one dog, the other two decided that they needed to be as well. So we always had a dog on each side.

Afterwards, we decided to go play with the cute puppies! They were so adorable! When I am around dogs, I tend to pull out the kissy face and the baby talk.
I can't help myself. They are just so cute!

They were quite the rowdy bunch. They kept fighting over the same toy that was actually a cat toy. And when they lost interest in that they decided to head for each other!

This cute pup above had something against the couch. He declared war on it and kept biting it. It was really funny!

All in All, it helped give me my "dog" fix. I found out that you can volunteer there so I'm hoping to go back soon and play with them and take them for walks.

Newbie

Well, I finally caved in and decided to make a blog. I have been reading a lot of my friends' blogs and it made me want to start one. I figured it would be a nice way to keep everyone updated on the little escapades of the Clark family. Who knows, maybe I will get rid of Facebook and just use this!

So bear with me as I get the hang of this! Hopefully, I can help make our life sound interesting enough that you will want to read!

I'm also looking to use the blog to start selling some crafts. I've always wanted to start my own business so we will see what happens!

Welp, here goes!
